This is a compilation of a number of reports from Egyptian friends and others living in Egypt.
There are many misunderstandings about whatis happening in Egypt today. These misunderstandings
are mainly propagated by the usually balanced international media such as the BBC and especially by
AlJazeera that portrays the MuslimBrotherhood as victims of injustice.
The reality is different.
President Morsi was democratically elected in June 2012. Out of a population of 85million, 13million
people voted for Morsi. He won the vote by a very narrow margin of less than 1%. Morsi and his party,
the Muslim Brotherhood, took this as amandate to do what they wanted. So the new government was
not inclusive. Leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood were appointed as governors of districts in Egypt and
as government ministers. Some of these governors and ministers had previous convictions for violence.

- World silent as Muslim Brotherhood targets Coptic Christians
Christians in Egypt are again the target of Islamist Muslim Brotherhood supporters using the new
violence as a cover for ongoing persecution. If Christians were burning mosques, the world
would be outraged.
